Instructions: | Installation Guide ----------------------------- This distribution has been designed to operate with iTools 7 . If you have iTools version 6.5 or older, please use the package of WebDNA for Apache.Start form version 5.1, WebDNA requires Mac OS X version 10.2.x or later. Please make sure your system meets requirement before atemp to install WebDNA
You must be logged in as the "root" user in order to install WebDNA. Once you have downloaded the WebDNA distribution, use the following command to unpack the distribution: tar xvfz WebDNA-x.xxxx.tar.gz ("x.xxxx" is the release number)
This command will extract the archive and create a folder/file named WebDNA-x.xxxx/WebCatalog.pkg This file is used by the Package Installer to complete the WebDNA installation.
The next step is to double-click the WebDNA-x.xxxx/WebCatalog.pkg file to invoke the MacOS X Package Installer.
You can also use the command line to install the WebDNA package as below cd WebDNA-x.xxxx ./installer.sh WebCatalog.pkg
Uninstalling WebDNA: ------------------------ Mac OS X 's package Installer does not include an uninstall option, therefore WebDNA will use its own uninstall script. Login as root, open the Terminal window, and at # prompt, enter: /Libray/Receipts/WebCatalog-uninstall.sh This script will uninstall the entire WebCatalog package in your system

*** Security Note: A trigger must be created in order for the "Delete on Expire"option to actually delete a user on the expiration date. The trigger should target the file: users_expire.tpl located in the WebCatalogEngine folder.
