A fresh install of CentOS 6 (64bit)
TO INSTALL (using Terminal (shell) App):
1.) mod_fcgi does not exist for CentOS 6 so you have to add and activate a repository from Fedora
# rpm -ivh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
2.) Download the WebDNA installer file and get it to your server:
(hint: if installing remotely, you have options... 1) DL to your local machine, then FTP (SCP etc.) the file to you server.. or 2.) log in remotely to your server and DL the file directly to your server using lynx, wget or other means)
3.) Once the file is at your server, move the package to /tmp (if not already there) for installation purposes:
'cd' (change directory) to the file's location (cd /tmp), then do:
sudo mv WebDNA_fcgi_CentOS6_8.0.2.rpm /tmp/
4.) as root, just type
yum localinstall WebDNA_fcgi_CentOS6_8.0.2.rpm
The installer will take care of the dependencies, directories, permissions etc...
Thank you for using WebDNA!
